Swallows of Helston is a gymnastic club in Cornwall with approximately 350 members, ranging from around 3 years old to adults. A broad range of classes are run weekly, incorporating all ages, at recreational, display and competitive levels.

Position type: Part time 25 hours per week (3.45 – 6.15 daily are essential within these hours)

  • Office administration and basic financial processing in support of Swallows activities
  • Maintain membership records
  • Keeping within the Charities ains and objectives

School’s Key Steps Championships 2013

Congratulations to all our local Primary Schools for all you excellent work over the past year.  The Swallow’s Key Steps event was a great success due to all the support from our fabulous pupils and their teachers.  The result this year were as follows:

Non Club event – Level 1 (yrs 2 & 3) – Team Champions – St. Michaels C of E, Helston.  In Silver medal place – Bodriggy Academy, Hayle and in Bronze medal place – St. Madderns, Penzance

Non Club event – Level 2 (yrs 4 – 6) – Team Champions – St Michaels C of E, Helston.  In silver medal place – Bodriggy Academy, Hayle and in Bronze medal place – Godolphin School

Club competition – Level 2 (lower) yrs 2&3 – Team Champions – St. Michaels C of E, Helston.  In silver medal place – Bodriggy Academy, Hayle

Club competition – Level 2 (upper) yrs 4 – 6 – Team Champions – St. Michaels C of E, Helston.  In silver medal place – St Michaels C of E (Team 2) and in bronze medal place – Bodriggy Academy, Hayle

Individual winners were:  Level 1, non club – Phoebe Pascoe (Bodriggy), 1st.  Madeleine Barrowman (St. Michaels) 2nd and Joshua Holbrook (St. Michaels) 3rd

Level 2 non club – Emily Nott (St. Michaels) 1st.  Rosie Glover (Marlborough) 2nd and

Level 2 Lower Club – Ashleigh Shovel (St. Michaels) 1st.  Madison Stanfield (Marlborough) 2nd and Alaia Wilson (St. Michaels) 3rd

Level 2 Upper Club – Phoebe Jenkin (St. Michaels) 1st.  Matthew Heaney (St. Michaels) 2nd and Jessica Hubbard (St. Michaels) 3rd

Congratulations to the following gymnasts for competing and performing the following moves for the first time ever!!

Maea Morgan, Phoebe Jenkin & Megan Morris – Standing tuck back somersault on high beam

Yuki Cornish – Upstart to high bar

Zara Mitchell – Front somersault into round off flic tuck back somersault on floor

Jacob Hubbard – Magyar travel on Pommel horse

Megan Morris – Double twist backwards on floor
