There’s a lot going on at the moment for 13 year old Jaron Morgan. He lives at Plain-an-Gwarry, Marazion, goes to Helston Community College and attends Swallows of Helston Gymnastics Club.

He was recently appointed a Cornwall Sports Ambassador for Gymnastics by the Cornwall Sports Partnership. This scheme has been developed to recognise and support individuals with true sporting talent across Cornwall and who are working towards the highest levels of success in their chosen sport.

Jaron trains for 23 hrs a week at Swallows with Boys Coaches Andy Keigher and Eddy Bratu. Each month he also meets up with other members of the SW Elite Squad for a weekend of intensive training – in Plymouth, Exeter or Bristol. He has just received a grant from the “Our Money, Your Dream” scheme to help with the costs involved in travelling to squad training and competitions, and has also been nominated for a Kerrier Sports Award. His next big challenge comes up at the end of April when he competes in the National Elite Grades in Ipswich.
